It can be read as a standalone book but will benefit from knowledge of what has occurred in the main story.<br><br>For the first time in the Armadaverse we follow a lone female protagonist as she strives to overcome adversity both within and without. Those readers who are survivors of <strong>narcissistic abuse</strong> are advised that there may be triggers in the text however Marlay's journey to overcome them will possibly provide some cathartic relief.<br> </p>
