A Study on the Attitudes of Non-English Majors towards English

This book investigates current students’ attitudes what factors influence attitudes and compares the attitudes between Vietnamese and Taiwanese students. Carefully designed questionnaire items were administered to Vietnamese and Taiwanese students who are non-English majors studying general English. This study also proposes some suggestions to enhance motivation and attitudes of students while comparing the two countries (one developed and the other developing) to see differences in students’ attitudes with the goal of enhancing attitudes of students and improving quality of teaching English.
