A study on the effects of Pawpaw extracts on some selected bacteria

Pawpaw of the family Caricaceae is a herbaceous succulent plant with a self supporting stem. it is known to have a wide range of pharmacological value ranging from high antioxidants to vitamins. The high rate of bacterial resistance to antibiotics often leading to harmful outcomes prompted the investigation of the activity of natural extracts on some test organisms thus the effects of natural plant parts of pawpaw were examined against pathogenic bacteria. This book reiterates that pawpaw not only has nutritional but medicinal value especially against Gram positive bacteria.
