He has over 30 years experience teaching at the secondary and post-secondary levels including his work with both undergraduate and graduate students at California State University Chico and Butte College. Dr. Findlay's professional writing has appeared in the <i>History and Social Science Journal</i> <i>Linguistics and Education</i> and <i>Issues in Applied Linguistics</i>. He is the author of <i>Language and Communication: A Cross-Cultural Encyclopedia</i> published by ABC-CLIO/Berkshire Publications a division of Oxford University Press. In 2013 Dr. Findlay was named Educator of the Year by the Chico Rotary Association. He is currently a professor at Butte College where he has worked for over 20 years.
