A Teacher Grows Up in Commerce City

A growing up novel of short stories about ones life in Commerce City would seem to be quite ordinary but quite the contrary. This novel of ones life encompasses bits and pieces about a boy growing up in a suburb of Denver Colorado. Assimilation acculturation and the struggle for cultural and physical identity and success are the themes to be presented in these stories. The titles of each chapter represent a paradox which focuses on my occupation education. Im a retired high school teacher at Adams City High School yes in Commerce City. Education has gone through a lot of reformation since I was a student in Commerce City Schools. So to add a little humor to this book Ive added examples of pedagogical ideological chapter titles that reflect my profession. Read it for yourself.
