A Theological Framework of Creation Care in Africa

This book is based on the understanding that several theories of creation care exist within Western and African societies but most of these theories have not provided substantial solutions to the global environmental crisis. Rather they have only been able to propound the nature and complexity of the problem. Hence this work is an attempt to provide a biblical and theological response to the global environmental crisis bearing in mind the African traditional worldview of creation and the possibilities of developing a theological framework for creation care. The work will be a useful theological work for Africans addressing the African theories of creation and earth care.The main question that this research seeks to answer is “How does the biblical-theological worldview of creation and creation care shed light on the African traditional worldview of creation and creation care?”
