From The Beginning, Lark'S Existence Is Entangled With The Decisions And Judgments, The Compulsions And Destinies Of Others. Eventually, She Is Returned To The U.S. To Be United With Her Father, But Again, Due To The Exigencies Of Others, The Course Of Her Life Is Altered.
