A Trail Of Breadcrumbs

About The Book

This is a book of poems. No really. They were written by Hazel Warburton who has been poeming since she was a child and was first published in the South Wales Echo in the early '70s. She was born and raised in and around Cardiff where early exposure to Dylan Thomas was a major influence on the voice of this verse; and there's a whole section of poems written in and about Rhosili near Swansea. Hazel was chairman of OU Poets for a few years and it's no coincidence that she has a degree from the Open University in English. She has successfully raised three children into a semblance of adulthood and currently lives in Surrey with her two cats. A Trail of Breadcrumbs is a book about life. There are poems within about love (both unrequited and requited) loss Britain the sea happiness depression family and cheese. But at the end of the day what they're all about is life something we all go through and with which we can all empathise. Well life and cheese. We all love cheese.
