A Tribute to Mom We Survived Together

<p>I am no hero. Yet I’d like to share my lifetime experiences. Through this book and presentations I hope to affect as many people as possible. Being a Holocaust survivor I’ve witnessed outlandishly inhuman behavior. By helping others to understand the past as well as the importance of education awareness appreciation and support of human rights I hope we can all say “Never again!”</p><p>It’s difficult for me to write about the past. Some people don’t realize how hard it is for me to tell my story. I usually joke around—that’s the way I am. It’s the way I relax because painful memories are always there. When the war broke out on September 1 1939 I was only two years old. Consequently I needed to depend upon my mom’s recollections for many of the details provided in this memoir. Some of the events were so traumatic that even though I was a child then they’ve engraved themselves on my consciousness.</p>
