A trumpet has blown

A large asteroid could threaten the Earth in years to come but governments are reluctant to take the threat seriously. They are afraid of the financial cost of tackling the problem. An astronomer and a journalist join forces to convince the public and the sceptics of the danger. But they become involved in conflicting emotional relationships which compromise their efforts. They like the politicians let short term interests take priority.
