A UNITED STATES MIDSHIPMAN IN THE SOUTH SEAS

The story follows Midshipman John H. Hays a young officer in the U.S. Navy who is assigned to a naval vessel patrolling the South Seas. The novel is set during a time when the U.S. Navy was actively involved in exploring and maintaining a presence in the South Pacific region.
