The classic Christian apologetics book. This is undoubtably the finest apologetics work of the era and perhaps of all time. It remained compulsory reading for any applicant to Cambridge University right up to the 20th century. The work primarily investigates the historical evidences for Christianity in miracles and includes one of the best refutations of Hume's arguments ever written. Still highly readable and an absolute joy. Any serious student of the Bible should never be without this volume.
