A Village of Poetry People

About The Book

When I attempt to describe the poetry of Maureen Higson the first thing that comes to my mind is that she epitomizes the difference between a poet and someone who writes poetry. What is the difference; you may ask? It is the difference between someone who draws buildings and an architect the difference between a man holding a knife and a surgeon; it is the difference between someone with a fiddle and a virtuoso. In short it is the difference between someone with inspiration and someone with inspiration and a polished understanding of their craft earned over years of toil. Her words sing of wisdom of common sense of compassion but most of all they just sing. And that is the difference between a craftsman and an artist. Come see for yourself; become engrossed in another world for a while. I promise the old one will be anxiously waiting when you're done.
