A water-mediated synthesis of isatin-based aromatic compounds

Isatin is an important scaffold in organic synthesis because of it shows various biological activities. The most attractive application of isatin in organic synthesis is undoubtedly owing to the highly reactive C-3 carbonyl group. Many aromatic compounds consist of the isatin moiety have stimulating applications in the field of drug discovery industry and in biology. By using of Green chemistry Synthesis of different derivatives of these scaffolds has been achieved in water as the reaction medium. This content defines the water-mediated synthesis of various isatin based aromatic compounds.
