The personal narrative of Ralph Freund who flew 32 missions during World War II as a B-17 flight engineer and top turret gunner and member of the 379th Bomb Group. From the first mission on May 22 1944 to the last one a little over two months later on July 25 1944 including two missions on D-Day Ralph talks about the dangers fears triumphs and close calls as a member of a B-17 crew who all survived.
