About the Book: Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel known as the Iron Man of India was a prominent leader of the Indian freedom struggle and the first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of independent India. He was born on 31 October 1875 in Nadiad Gujarat. Vallabhbhai Patel participated in the Satyagraha movements of Kheda and Bardoli under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi fighting for the rights of farmers and laborers. His determination and discipline made him different from other leaders. About the Author: My name is Kalpana Patel and I am working as a government teacher in the Public Education Department of Madhya Pradesh. As a teacher my aim is not only to impart academic knowledge to children but also to inculcate moral and cultural values in them. While working in the field of education I realized that with the right guidance and motivation we can bring positive changes in the lives of children. I have a special interest in social work and under this I keep participating in various social activities.
