AADIPARVA (MALOJIRAO BHOSALE)

Adiparv a historical novel written by Dr. Pramila Jarag is based on life of Malojiraje Bhosale a worrier administrator and statesman of his time and grandfather of Chhatrapati Shivaji the Great. The Novel depict social and political scenario of Deccan India during end of 16th Century and beginning of 17th century. It is spread over a period of 18 years during which Malojiraje ascended from a soldier to chief of Nijamshahi army. Malojiraje was not only a worrer but also a sensitive ruler with strong spiritual base who carried out works like creation of water reservoirs established towns for homeless poor people suffering from droughts and also for victims of war. These 18 years were also the most turbulent years in the history of Nijamshahi of Ahemednager that ruled for more that a century over the part of land most of which is todays state of Maharashtra.
