Despite excelling academically and working in various private spheres the deep unspoken desire to be an artist never left me. In my school days I was known for my voice and speeches at annual events. As a child I wrote comics in simple notebooks appreciated by peers and one of their mothers. However feelings of inferiority led me to abandon my creative pursuits in college believing they were mundane and unworthy. Life''s challenges compounded by a lack of encouragement pushed me away from art. Yet I found joy in altering melodies for friends finding refuge in the simple pleasure of expression. Years later sharing poetry on Facebook transformed my life. Two inspiring women recognized my talent rekindling my confidence and reigniting the writer within me.
