<br><br><b> CHALLENGING PRACTICALLY EVERYTHING! </b><br><br> In ABUSES of POWER Dr. Rose is relentless in examining how power is abused by everyone involved in education. Rose believes that the questions we ask determine the answers we get. When you ask the wrong questions you get the wrong solutions.<br><br>When schools asked Why are minority parents not supportive of their children? The answer was They don't care.<br>Dr. Rose asked What do we do that keeps minority parents away?<br>Answer. 'We don't listen to or respect them but dictate what we want from them.<br><br>Schools. Why don't kids pay attention.<br>Answer They are stupid don't care or have family or culture problems.<br><br>Rose. Why should kids pay attention?<br>Answer Because I show I care about them I listen to and negotiate solutions with them. I find their interests and explore them with them.<br><br>Schools. Why don't teachers do a better job?<br>Answer. They're only interested in higher pay and benefits.<br><br>Dr. Rose. How can we get teachers to be more successful?'<br>Answer. Give teachers more academic freedom autonomy and respect for each to discover the best ways to teach.<br><br>Free public education is considered one of our most important freedoms. Yet most feel our system is not working.
