The Chapter on redemption of debentures is fully revised pertaining to Companies Act 2013 with the following descriptions: Creating Debenture Redemption Reserve @ 25%/10% as per Section 71(4) of the Companies Act 2013 Rule 18(7b) of the Companies (Share Capital and Debentures) Rules 2014 and 2019. Investment or deposit of 15% of the face value of debentures to be redeemed towards Debentures Redemption Investment as per Rule 18(7C) of the Companies (Share Capital and Debentures) Rules 2014. As per Section 53 of the Companies Act 2013 Companies would no longer be permitted to issue shares at discount. Hence teachers are requested not to teach issue of shares at discount however they should be acquainted with the concept of issue of shares at discount
