Aceclofenac Loaded Nano Carriers

This book chapter explores the formulation production and excipient compatibility of nanostructured lipid carriers (NLCs) for the topical delivery of aceclofenac. It emphasizes the selection and optimization of lipids and surfactants to enhance drug loading stability and skin penetration. Special emphasis is placed on the selection of lipid excipients such as glyceryl monostearate stearic acid and oleic acid and stabilizers like Poloxamer 188 or Tween 80 which significantly influence particle size zeta potential drug entrapment and release kinetics. Various production methods including high-pressure homogenization and ultrasonication are discussed with respect to scalability reproducibility and stability. The chapter highlights the advantages of NLC-based systems in achieving sustained release improved bioavailability and reduced systemic side effects offering valuable insights for advanced topical formulations.
