But Josephine has even graver concerns -- she's campaigning for women's equality in medicine and she won't give up her homeopathic poison cures.</p><p>Murder intrudes when a man is found dead at the docks from Aconite known as the Queen of Poisons. Aconite is also one of Josephine's remedies and she realizes she's being framed.</p><p>Chief Detective John O'Malley is a hard-boiled cop who believes poison is a woman's weapon and his top suspect is Josephine. The two begin a cat and mouse chase along the killer's trail.</p><p>With help from her devoted patients Josephine goes undercover as a flapper to spy on suspicious bootleggers and doctors. Pulling Josephine out of trouble is Dominick her brawny and handsome chauffeur with a mysterious past.</p><p>Complications soon arise when Josephine falls for a debonair suspect.</p><p>Can Josephine unmask the murderer? Can she unravel her own secrets to follow her heart and her ambition?</p>
