Addictology and sexual abuse in childhood

Problem: During my consultations in the psychiatric emergency department of the CHU PAP/Abymes within the framework of suicide prevention I observed a form of recurrence between alcohol dependence sexual violence in childhood and suicide attempt. Most of the women I interviewed following a suicide attempt and whose alcohol dependence I observed mentioned sexual abuse in their childhood. Could there be a correlation between childhood sexual abuse alcohol and suicide attempts? Would alcohol be the way to silence the suffering and the suicide attempt to put an end to it? This story is a fiction based on recurring observations.
