Adolescent Bereavement Experience

This theoretical study aims to analyze and integrate the abundant amount of data on adolescent bereavement experiences mainly addressing how unresolved grief affects the teenager''s development and emotional wellbeing. The study is theoretical and involves a comprehensive review of the literature to determine the effects of peer loss. It includes a hermeneutic interpretation to verify adolescents’ traumatic experiences and grief reactions. The study explores different models and theories of grief as well as observes how attachment orientations and emotions are interfering with adolescents’ grief processes.
