Adsorption of La(III) Sm(III) and Y(III) Ions on nano-metal oxides

The present study deals with the synthesis of nano metal oxides which could be employed for the adsorption/removal of the rare earth ions. As rare earth elements are precious and find wide application in various new emerging technologies. They are being used in power storage powerful magnets in laser production catalysis etc. This makes them most sought element for the recovery due their high cost. This study aims for such technique which can recover them at less cost and with great selectivity and sensitivity.
