Adult and Continuing Education in Kenya

This book analyses the trends in the development of Adult and Continuing Education in Kenya. It has situated the development of Adult Education from the global to local perspective in Kenya. The historical development of Adult and Continuing education has been discussed starting from the colonial times to the present. This has been highlighted by analysing of the policies that have impacted and shaped the development of Adult and Continuing education in the country.The issues that have impacted on the development of Adult and Continuing Education in the country have been analysed showing the trends in financing curriculum and administration. Lastly the challenges that have affected the sector and pushed it to the periphery of the main stream education ministry have been discussed. The way forward on how the sector can be improved has been highlighted.
