Thus the purpose of a public administration is to ensure the operation of services of general interest. These are based on the fundamental principles of continuity equality fairness and adaptability of the public service.The production of a public good aims to respond free or almost free to the needs of the community. They are not necessarily financially worthwhile. Consequently they are neglected by private organizations seeking profit.
