Present global challenges pertaining to the environment is alarming. Uncontrolled CO2 emission due to the use of fossil fuel creates problems such as global warming. In addition the use of materials that are not environment-friendly poses issues particularly at the end of the life of the materials. Green technology can inevitably mitigate present day problems related to energy and environment. Nonetheless awareness on green technology is still lacking in many parts of the world.
