Diagnosis of periodontal diseases has seen a rapid advancement in recent times with more immunologic testing contributing to accurate diagnosis. It has become a necessity to update the current knowledge and the recent advancements of the various immunologic tests and their applications in periodontics. The advancement of the periodontal diagnostic knowledge and various immunodiagnostic tests developed in the recent past has prompted and encouraged the author to compile and publish a short and comprehensive book with the title 'Advances in immunodiagnostic aids in periodontics'.
