Adventures of a Countryside Boy

I had a cloth bag slung over my shoulders which contained my college file with notes from the classes and a few copies of the ‘Action for Freedom’ which I was distributing to contacts. I was walking to the house of a college professor to give him a copy when a police jeep pulled up straight in front almost colliding with me.“Get in!” The officer sitting in front commanded me but I stood there hesitating. “Get in!” This time he was loud and menacing. I got into the jeep which sped away straight to the police station.Nobody spoke a word and I was too scared to ask anything. This is the story of a young boy who goes through life harboring an intense desire to be a doctor someday. However his very nature of a rebellious and undisciplined attitude coupled with several setbacks creates hurdles he has to overcome. Through different schools in Mumbai and Kerala with a diverse set of circumstances and a happy-go-lucky college life he does not abandon his goal. He has to grapple with spiritual political and ethical conflicts on the way. Will he realize his dream?
