Shandra Hillman a New Orleans native is an ambitious accountant who has been living alone in Atlanta GA for the past 8 years. She moved to Atlanta to not only start a career but to also get away from the drama that always surrounds her relatives back in New Orleans. Everything changes on August 27 2005. Hurricane Katrina a category 4 hurricane hits the Gulf Coast and forces Shandra to provide shelter for 13 of her relatives in her 3 bedroom home in Atlanta. AFTER THE STORM is an inspirational family drama that shows how a family tries to get their life back together after one of the biggest catastrophes in American history.
