After the Storm

<p><em>After the Storm</em> is an initial offering of poems from spiritual director and retreat facilitator Peter M. Ivey written in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene the devastating storm that ravaged Southern Appalachia and Ivey's hometown of Asheville NC in the fall of 2024. In the months that followed poetry became his open window through which to breathe out sorrow and confusion a refuge from the heartache a sanctuary of hope and divine light. For those who have endured their own floodwaters watched their own forests fall <em>After the  Storm</em> offers a way through the muck a glimmer of what-could-be a hand to hold on the journey toward healing.</p>
