<p>End of summer '93 brings Melanie Slate no closer to an answer to her disastrous love quadrangle. It hasn't helped that her fellow misfits have been completely MIA. Lonely and abandoned she braces herself for what she can only hope will be a much less eventful sophomore year at Hollywood High.</p><p>What could possibly go wrong?</p><p>Just a few things like...</p><p>...an unshakable medical disaster new and terrifying metaphysical awakenings and being forced to transfer to a lame new school. Yeah life sucks right now but it's not all bad. The prospect of a romantic relationship with a movie star and even a career as a Hollywood actress bubbles up. Just when she thinks she's getting a handle on things a massive earthquake rocks LA and further buries her into the rubble.</p><p>It all comes with a whole lot of cost that will have to be paid the hard way. But the hard way? That's nothing new for Melanie Slate. Sometimes the only choice is to kick ass and take names.</p>
