The overall purpose of this comprehensive proposal is to address the specific needs and challenges of indigenous communities through an accurate management diagnosis. Cultural appropriateness is fundamental to ensure that the proposed solutions respect and value local traditions and customs. Relevant information focuses on the bio-social context explaining the why and what for of the interventions with a focus on community integration. The project clearly states the costs and benefits providing a transparent view of the resources needed and the expected results. In addition agave is highlighted as a regenerative crop ideal for reforestation and soil regeneration and climate resilience in Guatemala integrating agave with other crops and native species due to its ability to thrive in arid conditions and its CAM metabolism. Agave cultivation not only improves soil quality and biodiversity but also generates economic opportunities for indigenous communities through the production of syrup fibers and bioplastics among others.
