Agrarian Rituals in the Tpuri Society of Cameroon and Chad

About The Book

How can we access the fact that rites and agriculture have an unending relationship whose root are traceable to the pioneers Tpuri society? In these few leitmotifs build from oral traditions and the chronological framework of old African societies and the Tpuri in particular the author invites us to reflect on the historical background of African traditional culture and customs. Although each society is situated in a set of conceptions more or less organized according to a certain vision of cultural cremations. Whereas any initiative made by an individual reflects on other people by the very cosmos of life each society is thus obliged voluntarily or unwittingly to make use of all human acquisitions and at the same time to serve humanity. This is because just as traditional culture is for an individual or for a people a foundation of their being so every basic culture is embedded in a set of diverse cultures which form a necessary context for each of them.
