Agricultural Sector in Sudan's Economic (2003-2023)

This monograph explores Sudan''s agricultural sector aiming to boost economic growth and social welfare in line with global development goals. Despite abundant natural resources Sudan''s agricultural GDP contribution has declined. Analyzing 2003-2023 data it investigates factors like GDP per capita inputs/outputs education labor infrastructure and environment. Using an empirical model and regression analysis it identifies key factors affecting economic growth. Results highlight the crucial link between growth and agricultural productivity pivotal for income and poverty reduction. Promoting agricultural productivity can aid population growth and poverty alleviation by 2030. Expansion of land skilled labor and fertilizer usage positively impact productivity and food security while climate change negatively affects it. This study sheds light on Sudan''s agricultural sector challenges guiding economic strategies and policy decisions for sustainable development. Future research directions and policy implications are discussed.
