<p>Ahmad Nadeem Qasmi was an Urdu poet writer of short stories dramatist journalist and literary critic. He authored fifty books on art criticism journalism poetry and fiction. He was a well-known author of modern Urdu literature and belongs to the Progressive Movement. His humanistic poetry stood out and some people rank his Urdu afsana (short stories) second only to Munshi Prem Chand's portrayal of rural life. For nearly fifty years he served as both the publisher and editor of the literary journal 'Funoon' and 'Adab-e-Lateef'. This books contains His most famous seven short stories which are collected and compiled by Aijaz Ubaid.</p><p>/</p><p>احمد ندیم قاسمی (20 نومبر 1916ء تا 10 جولائی 2006ء) پاکستان کے ایک معروف ادیب، شاعر، افسانہ نگار، صحافی، مدیر اور کالم نگار تھے۔ افسانہ اور شاعری میں شہرت پائی۔ ترقی پسند تحریک سے وابستہ نمایاں مصنفین میں شمار ہوتا تھا اور اسی وجہ سے دو مرتبہ گرفتار کیے گئے۔ قاسمی صاحب نے طویل عمر پائی اور لگ بھگ نوّے سال کی عمر میں انھوں نے پچاس سے زائد کتابیں تصنیف کیں۔</p>
