Ahn's Awakening

Ahns Awakening begins with a ten-chapter story of a pre-historic girl. The heroine Ahn and her family are walking in a North American forest that guides their understanding of life and death. As they journey Ahn notices monumental changes in her physical body and her soul as her first menstrual period begins. The story includes blank lines for journaling to the left of the written word. After Ahns story adults will find inspiration and guidance for turning the talk about first menstruation into an ongoing conversation. There are questions and prompts to explore their own first menstrual stories. Ahns Awakening ends with a ritual that helps adults see the sacred nature of our bodies natural functions and how they interconnect with our souls journeys. With such guidance adults will become more confident in framing first menstrual cycles in positive life-affirming ways.
