Born in Chile in 1927 and naturalized Peruvian since the 1950s Jodorowsky traced an oniric and magic-realist poetic work that marked an essential connection between the American beat generation and the Latin American avant-garde. At the same time the bilingual poetry journal <em>El Corno Emplumado</em> (1962-1969) directed by Margaret Randall and Sergio Mondragón planted the seeds of a global mass poetic exchange at the birth of the student movement in the 1960s.
