Al-Beruni

It is essential to acknowledge that Abu Rayhan Beruni one of the greatest encyclopedic scholars of Transoxiana made significant contributions not only in various fields but also in religious studies. His ability to study religious issues objectively employing all methodologies of religious studies while maintaining his personal religious views without letting them influence his scientific activities is commendable.Beruni demonstrated that studying all religions in which people believe does not harm the Islamic faith or the beliefs of Muslims. On the contrary he showed that it enhances the superiority of Islam even in the challenging circumstances of his time.In this book we can see how the scholar addresses the history of religions and some problematic situations in religious matters presenting them in a religious-scientific manner prioritizing the subject over personal perspectives.
