وماذا لو فكّكنا الأسطورة؟ ماذا لو نظرنا إلى الخلف، إلى أولئك الذين جوّعوا شعوبهم وقمعوها واستباحوها، واقتحمنا غرفهم الخلفيّة حيث خطّطوا وأمروا؟ هناك حيث يخلعون بزّاتهم ونياشينهم فيظهر تطيّرهم وحماقاتهم وخوفهم المستتر؟ مخيّلة وجدي الأهدل تسلّلت بخفّة إلى قصور الأباطرة، دخلت مجالس الطغاة، ولمست ذلك الخوف المتخفّي تحت البطش، ثمّ أظهرته بأسلوب ساخر ساركاستي.هذه قصصٌ تذوّب أسطورة مَن قضّوا مضاجع شعوب بأكملها على مدى عقود وأغرقوها في بحرٍ من الخوف والظلمات. قصصٌ تقزّم جبروتهم وتمتّع القارئ. لا، لا تمتّعه فحسب، بل تشكّل انتقامًا أدبيًّا من فقّاعات صادرت حيوات واستلبت مصائر، قبل أن يخزها التاريخ بإبرة سحريّة، كاتبًا لها النهايات التي تستحقّ.What if we dismantle the myth? What if we look back at those who starved their people oppressed them and violated them? What if we invade their back rooms where they made their plans and from which they made their commands? For their prejudice foolishness and hidden fears are revealed there where they shed their suits and badges.The vivid imagination of Wajdi Al Ahdal's mind slips delicately into the palaces of emperors enters the chambers of tyrants and senses that hidden fear beneath their cruelty then exposes it with a sarcastic and satirical style.
