Alcohol and Ethics: The Myths and Facts explores commonly held misconceptions about addictive diseases especially alcoholism and how these misconceptions hinder the recoveries of alcoholics addicts and their family members. As employers legal personnel and some medical people also believe these myths they often treat alcoholics and addicts as morally inferior people. No theory of right and wrong encompasses such unfair treatment as alcoholics and addicts are not bad people trying to get good but are sick people trying to get well.
