Alexandrine Teaching on the Universe

<p>Originally published in 1932 this book is based on a series of lectures delivered in Cambridge in 1931. The views of the universe as held by the great teachers of Ancient Alexandria are discussed: Philo Clement Origen Plotinus and the Gnostics are considered and their outlook compared and contrasted with certain phases of early 20th Century scientific opinion.</p><p>.</p>
