About the Book: "The city of Kolkata, once, during 1756, was named as Ali Nagar, by Bengal's last Nawab Sirajuddoula, after his grand pa. Although, the coronation was short lived, but I like to call my city by that name. I left the City in 1981 due to my job. Since then, remained absent from my city till 2022. Although, a span of six year's, I was posted here also. The final return after almost forty years, made me nostalgic, sentimental and soft towards my old place. The streets and people, the paara and its own buzz, which I missed so long, I, tried to search everyday to get back those old flavours. The present book is a date wise accounts of those journey. The life is most marvellous showman. I relished everyday and continued that on paper with my pen for six months. The highs and lows and the varieties, are really stupendous. The values of life, which, we were taught in seventies, are shear stupidity today. The same has been changed with time. I tried denying that in my journey. Still, I tried to find out my golden city with its old frame and color, which was real tough job. The central thought processes of Bengalis have radically changed. I stay in Baranagar. The ground of this land was blessed by Sri Chaitanya, Shri Ramkrishna and Swami Vivekanand. But alas! Today we have lost everything. The socio-economic or ruthless politics are the basic causes of men's daily lives here. Aimless Society never turns towards top. The intellect and skill are still present but there is no Craftman."
