All That Glitters Ain't Gold

Young textile designer, Samantha Montgomery, unexpectedly comes face-to-face with her one and only love, top tennis pro Samuel King, for the first time since he dumped her on their high school prom night to take another female to dinner and the dance. Nine months later, Samuel, and his new wife, Pamela, welcome their new son into their family. Quentin King had long had an interest in the quiet and shy Samantha Montgomery, even when she and his younger brother, Samuel, were known as the Dynamic Duo when they were children on the mixed doubles tennis courts. However, to express his interest in her then would have been wholly inappropriate and against his parents' dictates. They have an aversion to the young woman because she was adopted and had a mixed heritage with an ethnicity other than an American of African descent. However, regardless of his parents' precepts, Quentin questions whether he is willing to risk his leadership role as the head of King Advertising, one of the most successful businesses of its type in the country, for a woman who may not even have an interest in him.
