Alongside his loyal companions-Sir Henry Curtis Captain Good and the Zulu warrior Umslopogaas-he ventures into a hidden kingdom called <strong>Zu-Vendis</strong> inhabited by a mysterious white-skinned race.</p><p>In Zu-Vendis the adventurers become entangled in a civil war between two rival queens <strong>Nyleptha</strong> and <strong>Sorais</strong> both of whom fall in love with Sir Henry. Themes of loyalty love betrayal and cultural clash unfold as battle and tragedy strike.
