Alone / Together

Jeff Ridge doesn't know who he is where he is or why he can't remember much of any relevance-which may or may not be a good thing when you consider his current predicament generally involves flames sirens and his own frozen leg. Centuries into the future [or possibly less depending on whenever you happen to be reading this blurb] the trans-stellar transport tug 'Chione' is on a daring mission to the Sirius twin star system for some reason. Hurtling towards Destiny faster than a bungee jumper without a knot catastrophe naturally awaits its intrepid crew upon arrival or thereabouts. With this being a book and all you can expect at least some of the main characters to die but the rest should be absolutely fine come the last few pages or so. I'd say by Chapter Eleven tops. Alone / Together marks director-layabout Rich Lawden's third attempt at writing and also his first novella so try not to expect too much for your money.
