Diesel engines are widely used for their low fuel consumption and better efficiency. Ever increasing diesel consumption a large outflow of foreign exchange and concern for the environment have prompted developing countries like India to search for a suitable environmental friendly alternative to diesel fuel.But the rapid depletion of petroleum fuels and their increasing costs have led to an intensive search for alternative fuels.
