In the winter of 1967 Jake Grant an ambitious and popular high school senior is looking ahead to college and a bright future. As co-captain of the basketball team in Martens Ferry Florida it's his goal to lead his school to victory at the state championships. After that his plans include a glorious career starting with college ball at Ohio State University. Everything is falling into place; his future looks bright.
