Am I Perfect Enough

This book is intended for grades 3-5 appealing to children who strive to succeed at different aspects of their lives - school home personal life. This book is funny and children will be able to relate to it as it describes problems they are currently facing. Book is easy to read and contains some of the writing techniques third graders are required to include into their narratives like idioms sound effects dialogue actions detailed description of the setting. As a teacher I use this book as a mentor text to show an example of a certain writing technique. This book is about a third grader named Diana who tried very hard to maintain her reputation of a perfect student at school. Therefore Diana did everything RIGHT just the way she was supposed to. Sadly at times when Diana made mistakes she looked at it as if she failed to succeed. This book takes readers on the journey of a third grade girl who eventually discovers that no one needs perfect when there is progress.
